Welcome to Chien Mechant (that’s French for “Beware of the Dog).

I began this company after being inspired by my first foster Italian Greyhound, Tippytoes. Her foster dad and I adopted her less then four months after her first day here.

She is my inspiration and my muse.  Why? Because she is brave, she is strong, she is small and was afraid when she got here but never let that stand in the way of her doing anything she wanted to do.  Everyday she overcomes fears and tries to be a better “person”. I think that’s something we can all aspire to do.  I know it made me realize that if I wanted to, I could accomplish anything I wanted to, I could realize any dream, no matter how far off it seemed.

My dream was always to be an artist, a painter.  I adore dogs- all animals, really, and when I got Tippy, something in me just “clicked”.   I was inspired to combine my love of animals with my desire to create art.

The result is Chien Mechant Design.
